Why pack files into a ZIP
Many portals accept only one upload, email systems prefer one attachment, and sending twenty separate files is messy. A ZIP archive packs any number of files into one, keeps them together, and every modern computer and phone can open it without extra software.
How it works
Add any files — documents, pictures, spreadsheets, PDFs or others. They are packed into a standard ZIP archive in your browser and downloaded as one file. If two files have the same name, a number is added to one of them so nothing is overwritten. Files are never opened or run, only packed.
Will the ZIP be smaller?
Text documents, spreadsheets and some file types shrink inside a ZIP, but photos, videos, MP3s and PDFs are already compressed and stay about the same size. To make pictures or PDFs smaller, use Compress Image or Compress PDF before zipping.
Common problems and how to fix them
The portal rejects the ZIP: check whether it accepts ZIP files and its size limit. The receiver cannot see folders: files are packed in one level — name them clearly instead. The ZIP is too large to email: share it through cloud storage or split the files into two ZIPs.
Good habits
Rename files clearly before zipping, include only what the receiver needs, and keep the original files.
