When a picture of an HTML file is useful
HTML files — email templates, certificates generated by software, exported reports, simple pages you built — need a browser to view. A JPG picture can be posted, sent in chats, inserted into documents or printed without any browser at all.
What happens when you convert
Upload the .html file itself. It is opened in a safe sandbox inside your browser: scripts do not run, and nothing is loaded from other websites. The content is laid out on A4-width pages and each page is saved as a JPG, named with its page number. Multi-page results download as a ZIP, or one by one from the file list.
What shows up
Text, headings, tables, colours and styles written inside the HTML file appear. Pictures appear only if they are embedded in the file; pictures and style sheets linked from websites are not fetched. Content created by JavaScript, such as charts or dynamic lists, does not appear because scripts are switched off.
Common problems and how to fix them
The page looks unstyled: the CSS is in a separate file — paste it into a style tag inside the HTML. Pictures are missing: save the page as “Webpage, Single File” or embed images. You want a live website as a picture: use your browser's screenshot or Print → Save as PDF instead.
Good habits
Keep layouts simple and fixed-width for clean pictures, check every page image, and keep the original HTML file.
