Why turn a PDF into JPG pictures
Some websites, apps and printers accept only images, and many people want to see a page without opening a PDF reader. A JPG picture of each page can be posted, previewed, printed at a photo shop or added to a presentation or social media post straight away.
What happens when you convert
Every page is drawn exactly as a PDF viewer shows it and saved as a JPG at high quality. The picture size depends on the quality you pick: Screen (96 DPI) makes an A4 page about 794 × 1123 pixels, Standard (150 DPI) about 1240 × 1754 pixels, and High (300 DPI) about 2480 × 3508 pixels. Each page gets its own file named with its page number, and several pages download together in one ZIP, or one by one from the file list.
Choosing the right quality
Use Screen for quick previews and chat messages, Standard for most everyday use, and High for printing or for pages with very small text. Higher quality means sharper text but larger files.
Common problems and how to fix them
The JPG is too big for an upload form: use Compress Image or Resize Image to 50KB afterwards. You only need one page: save it first with Extract PDF Pages. Text looks blurry when zoomed: convert again at 300 DPI. Fine lines in drawings look soft: PDF to PNG keeps lines crisper because PNG is lossless.
Good habits
Keep the PDF for printing and archives, because pictures cannot be searched like text, and redact private details with Redact PDF before you share pages as pictures.
