    About Organize PDF

When is it useful? Organize PDF changes the order of pages — for example when scanned pages ended up in the wrong order or you want to move an important page to the front.

Good to know: type the new order, such as 3, 1, 2, 4-10, or choose “Reverse all pages” to flip the whole document. Pages are copied without any loss of quality.

Example: you scanned a 10-page document but page 10 (the cover) ended up last. Type 10, 1-9 as the new order and the cover moves to the front, with every page keeping its original quality, size and text.

    Tips for Better Results

    • Type the full new order, such as 3, 1, 2, 4-10.
    • Use “Reverse all pages” for scans that came out back to front.
    • To add pages from another file, use Merge PDF first.

    Guide

    Organize PDF: a complete guide

    Why reorder pages

Scanning stacks of paper, merging files and photographing documents often puts pages in the wrong order. A document with pages out of order confuses readers and can be rejected by offices. Organize PDF lets you set the order once and save a correct copy.

    How the two modes work

With Custom order, type the new order of pages separated by commas, using ranges where helpful — for example 3, 1, 2, 4-10. With “Reverse all pages”, the whole document is flipped from last to first, which fixes stacks scanned face-down. Pages are copied without any change in quality or text.

    Planning a new order

Write the current page numbers on a piece of paper next to what each page contains, then write the order you want. Typing ranges such as 4-10 saves time for pages that are already in the right sequence.

Common problems and how to fix them

A page is missing in the result: every page you want to keep must appear in your order list. A page appears twice: you typed its number twice — that is allowed, so remove the extra number if it was a mistake. The order is still wrong after scanning double-sided: use Keep Odd Pages and Keep Even Pages, then merge them.

    Good habits

Check the first and last pages of the result, keep the original file, and reorder before adding page numbers.
